Youngnak Presbyterian Church (YN)
Reverend Han, Kyung Chik (1902-2000), established YN on December 2, 1945. The church
became known as being founded for refugees from the North. In 50 plus years of ministry
the church has ministered to tens of thousands of people in various levels of life. Rev.
Lee, Chul Shin is the Senior Pastor of YN.
Bill Majors' Story
Pastor Bill (PB) surrendered his life to missions in Oklahoma in 1973. He attended Christian
schools from seventh grade to seminary. His life verse is "work for the night is coming when
no man can work" (John 9:4). In 1982, one week after graduating from
Tennessee Temple University (Religious Education, Missions), he arrived in Korea as a
tent-making missionary. His ministry has included Youth For Christ (YFC/82), Sung-shin
Orphanage (83-87), Christian Business Men's Committee (CBMC/88-89), Hanyang University
(96-02) and Youngnak Church (88-present). PB fell in love with a beautiful Korean girl, Niki
(Ja-kyung). They were married in Seoul on October 31, 1987. Sarah was born March 5, 1990
and Anna was born April 29, 1992. In 1993 the Majors family went to America so Daddy
could attend Dallas Theological Seminary (Cross-cultural Ministry, Missions). PB was brought
into YN as the head pastor of the International Worship in English (IWE)
April 1, 2002.
IWE's Story
WE began on April 5th, 1998. PB started IWE designating it as an (I)nternational (W)orship
ministry for (E)nglish speakers. IWE's Vision is to grow in Christ, become lay-servant leaders,
embrace and change the world for the Glory of God. IWE's target is a diverse, "international"
group of English-speaking people. This includes both native Koreans, as well as, people who
are visiting from abroad. IWE provides an opportunity to worship God in a diverse group of
individuals coming from around the world. Since 1998, we have seen many people come and
go as their jobs and plans lead them to new places. Some of these people have again
returned for another period of time in Korea. God allows us to fellowship through this web
site.
